1. All-Purpose Surface Cleaner
Equal parts white vinegar and water in a spray bottle handles countertops, appliances, and most surfaces. It cuts grease and disinfects naturally—no specialized formulas needed.
2. Fabric Softener Alternative
Add ½ cup to your rinse cycle instead of commercial softener. Your clothes come out softer, static-free, and without chemical residue.
3. Natural Weed Control
Spray undiluted vinegar on driveway or sidewalk weeds on sunny days. It's safer for pets and children than chemical herbicides, and just as effective for small areas.
4. Odor Neutralizer
Place a bowl of white vinegar in problem areas—the refrigerator, a musty room, anywhere smells linger. It absorbs odors instead of masking them with artificial fragrances.
5. Drain Maintenance
Pour ½ cup baking soda down the drain, follow with 1 cup white vinegar. Let it fizz for 15 minutes, flush with hot water. Most clogs dissolve without harsh chemicals or expensive plumber visits.
6. Stain Pre-treatment
Soak stained clothes in 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water before washing. Sweat, wine, coffee stains—most disappear without specialized stain removers.
7. Appliance Descaler
Run equal parts vinegar and water through your coffee maker or kettle monthly. Mineral buildup clears out, and your appliances run the way they should. It extends their life without any extra products.
8. Window and Mirror Magic
Mix 1 part vinegar with 4 parts water for streak-free windows and mirrors. It costs pennies and works better than the blue bottle.

Soak rusty tools in undiluted vinegar for a few hours, then scrub. Metal comes back without toxic rust removers.

Soak fruits and vegetables in 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water to remove dirt, pesticides, and bacteria. Rinse well.
