It was 2021. Steve and I were blending our families, merging two very full lives into one farmhouse, and we needed a kitchen that could hold all of it — the chaos and the beauty, the big Sunday dinners and the quiet Tuesday mornings, the school lunches and the dinner parties.
We started with a complete gut and had to make fast, confident decisions. No extended deliberation. No second-guessing. We knew what we needed, we found the right people and materials, and we built it.
What came out the other side became one of the most functional, most loved rooms I have ever been in. And I want to take you through every inch of it.
