Reset & Restore
The Power of Pure Lemon Water
Today marks day one of my 36-hour lemon water cleanse, and I’m already feeling that clarity that comes from simplifying and letting my body reset. Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do for ourselves is strip away the noise and return to basics.
Fresh organic lemons, clean filtered water, and intention—that’s it. I’m rotating through three simple variations: pine needle tea with lemon (hello, vitamin C boost), straight lemon water (one whole lemon per 8oz glass), and my ginger-lemon blend (1 tablespoon fresh ginger, half a lemon, 8oz water). Each sip feels like medicine.
The beauty of lemon water isn’t just the alkalizing effect or the digestive support—it’s the ritual of choosing yourself. Of saying “my body deserves this reset.” I love adding fresh herbs from the garden too: peppermint, spearmint, lavender, or rosemary transform each glass into something special.
This is a personal choice, a seasonal cleanse I turn to when I need to recalibrate. Thirty-six hours of giving my immune system space to breathe, my digestion a break, my mind some stillness.
